Laura Barrett, MBA, BSN, RN, a.k.a. Nurse Laura, is a wellness and certified cannabis nurse who brings over 20 years of experience helping patients cope with critical illness and chronic disease. She has the unique experience of having worked in each of the plant touching cannabis fields: growing, processing and dispensing, as well as, sales, marketing and compliance. Her passion is to work with providers, patients, caregivers, dispensary staff, nursing schools and community forums to educate, inform, and collaborate to find the best options for improving quality of life. Dawn-Marie Steenstra, LPN, worked caring for the elderly community for over 20 years; additionally her personal experience and passion led her to cannabis therapy. She was an organizational board member of the American Cannabis Nurses Association, founding member of The Cannabis Nurses Network and Speakers Bureau and is currently National Ambassador for “United Patients Group”, the nation’s leading cannabis patient resource organization.
